Get Pre-Approved
Pre-approval is not required, but it’s highly recommended. If you don’t get pre-approved and fall in love with a cat during your visit, you’ll need to complete the application and wait up to 3 business days for a determination. We don’t hold cats during this time, so your new friend might find another home while you wait. Complete the adoption application now, and you may be approved to adopt any of our cats for up to one year.
Book Your Lounge Visit
Reserve time in our cat lounge to meet the cats who are currently looking for homes. Browse our available cats online, then book your visit to meet them in person.
There’s no rushing the process. Enjoy your time in the lounge, have a coffee, and let the cats show you their personalities. Sometimes love at first sight happens. Sometimes it takes a few visits. We’re here whenever you’re ready.
Take Home Your New Friend
When a cat chooses you, simply let our lounge staff know.
If you’re pre-approved: We’ll coordinate with our rescue partner to finalize the adoption so that you can welcome your new family member home that same day.
If you’re not yet approved: Our staff will help you complete the application and a determination will be made within 3 business days. If then approved, you can return to take your cat home.
The adoption fee of $125 is paid directly to our rescue partner and supports their work rescuing and caring for cats in our community.
Shady's Paw Animal Rescue
The team at Shady's Paw Animal Rescue does the hard part. The intake. The vet visits. The foster coordination. The sleepless nights wondering if the sick kitten is going to pull through. The endless phone calls and emails and applications. The work that doesn't make it onto social media because it's not cute. It's just necessary.
Biscuits & Beans is not a shelter or intake facility. We're a showcase space, a place where adoptable cats can relax, be seen, and find their people. But without rescues like Shady's Paw, none of this works. They handle the hard part. We just make sure the cats look good doing it. Shady's Paw makes this café possible.

Every Cat Is Adoption-Ready
When you meet your perfect match at Biscuits & Beans, you can feel confident knowing every cat in our lounge has been fully prepared for their forever home by our partner rescues.
All cats in our café are:
- Spayed or neutered
- Up to date on vaccinations
- Veterinary examined and health-checked
- Litter box–trained and temperament assessed
- Socialized and comfortable in a café environment
- Monitored daily by trained cat caregivers
- Adoption-ready and able to go home the same day (with pre-approval)
- Some may be seniors or have special needs, fully evaluated and adoption ready
Our rescue partners handle all the medical preparation, so you can focus on what matters most: finding the cat that chooses you. With pre-approval, there’s nothing standing between you and bringing your new family member home today.
