Just Tails Foundation for Cat Care
Rescue work runs on passion, but it’s funded by something else entirely: donations, grants, and people who believe every cat deserves care, dignity, and a shot at a forever home.
That’s where the Just Tails Foundation for Cat Care comes in. Operating across the Shenandoah Valley region, Just Tails is a nonprofit that raises and distributes funding to support cat rescue organizations, shelters, and foster networks doing the essential work. Medical care. TNR programs. Foster supplies. Emergency vet visits. Adoption support for the cats who need it most—seniors, bonded pairs, cats with special needs.
Just Tails partners with verified rescue organizations throughout Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland, ensuring that every dollar goes directly to the cats and caregivers who need it. The foundation is entirely volunteer-run, with an all-volunteer board overseeing funding decisions and ensuring donations create real, measurable impact.
Shady's Paw Animal Rescue
The team at Shady's Paw Animal Rescue does the hard part. The intake. The vet visits. The foster coordination. The sleepless nights wondering if the sick kitten is going to pull through. The endless phone calls and emails and applications. The work that doesn't make it onto social media because it's not cute. It's just necessary.
Biscuits & Beans is not a shelter or intake facility. We're a showcase space, a place where adoptable cats can relax, be seen, and find their people. But without rescues like Shady's Paw, none of this works. They handle the hard part. We just make sure the cats look good doing it. Shady's Paw makes this café possible.

Our coffee comes from Merge Coffee Company, an award-winning specialty roaster in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Founded by two families from different backgrounds, Merge is built on collaboration, ethical sourcing, and a commitment to exceptional coffee.
Merge has created custom roasts exclusively for Biscuits & Beans, available in the cafe or to take home as whole bean or ground coffee.

Our baked goods come from Sweet Tooth Bakery, a local bakery that’s been perfecting the art of bread, pastries, and all things buttery and delicious.
Sweet Tooth Bakery brings warmth, flavor, and that unmistakable smell of something just out of the oven. They have been a local favorite since 1984, and we couldn’t ask for better partners.
